Down to Earth: exploring the North Shore of Hawaii
Founder, Reda, recently took his family on an unforgettable journey to the breathtaking North Shore of Hawaii, where they stayed for an extended period. The 12-hour time difference turned his work schedule into a nighttime routine. During our virtual meetings, we typically saw him in a softly lit room, surrounded by darkness, but sometimes we were fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the area before sundown. Naturally, our curiosity got the best of us, and we had to ask for his recommendations. Here are Reda’s must-visits on the North Shore of Hawaii.
Sunrise Shack at Sunset Beach, the original location
This vibrant, laid-back spot is the original location of the now-famous Sunrise Shack. Known for its bright yellow facade and coffee, it’s the perfect place to start your day.
Sweet Land Farm in Waialua, Oahu
A peaceful retreat away from the crowds, this family-owned goat farm left a lasting impression on Reda. A peaceful retreat from the busier tourist spots, where you can learn more about sustainable farming at the same time. Apparently, there’s even a cow that thinks it’s a goat.
Farm to Barn, located in Haleiwa
Farm to Barn offers a true farm-to-table experience, serving up dishes crafted from the freshest local ingredients. It’s a place where you can savor the taste of the island, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Banana Bread Company, Makua location
Tucked away near Makua, this spot is a haven for banana bread lovers. The banana bread is baked fresh daily and each loaf is a flavorful blend of locally sourced bananas with secret spices.
Gunstock Ranch
Whether you’re into horseback riding or want to do an eco-tour, Gunstock Ranch offers an authentic Hawaiian experience. Reda recommends it for the scenic rides through the countryside and the chance to see the island from a different perspective.
