Graanmarkt 13 

House, store, restaurant, guesthouse. Graanmarkt 13 is a whole philosophy under one roof. The ground floor houses fashion and design, the upstairs an apartment you can stay in, and the restaurant downstairs is one of the city’s best.

Art

KMSKA (Royal Museum of Fine Arts)

An icon of Antwerp, and one of Belgium’s great museums. KMSKA recently reopened after an 11-year renovation, historic 19th-century grandeur meeting crisp, contemporary exhibition halls. A place where old and new don’t compete but sit in dialogue, just like the city itself.

Tim Van Laere Gallery

Tim Van Laere has built a reputation for pairing established names with bold emerging voices. Exhibitions here are always dynamic. Currently on view: Jockum Nordström, the Swedish artist known for his enigmatic collages and drawings that sit somewhere between the naive and the surreal, but regardless of timing, it’s always worth a stop.

Middelheim Museum

An open-air museum where art lives in the landscape. Middelheim combines monumental sculpture with gardens, trees, and winding paths. Some works are permanent, others temporary, all in dialogue with nature. It’s as much a park as it is a museum.
